Woman goes into a bar. Asks the barman for an innuendo. So he gives her one.

Penguin walks into a bar. Says to the barman, “Have you seen my dad in here tonight?“. Barman says, “Not sure. What’s he look like?“.
There’s always something fascinating about the Guardian’s “Unsettling animal picture of the week”, but normally it’s something wincingly weird, or just plain grotesque, like a two-headed frog or a sheep eating itself. But this one really made me smile, so I thought I’d save it from the recycling bin and commit it to the relative permanence of the interweb.

Good to see the plucky England lads notch up their first win of the new era, 2-1 against a not-too-bad Switzerland. Interesting that, in the England line-up, only Capello and Rooney didn’t sing along to the national anthem. Still, I suppose they each had a good excuse – one has only a rudimentary grasp of the English language… and the other’s Italian.
Brendan, keen to find a job to support his extravagant lifestyle for the summer, saw an advert – “Cleaners required, city centre”. “Surely I wouldn’t have to clean the whole city centre, would I?”, he asked.
